Mariabad is located near the eastern suburb of Quetta. It is densely populated with the majority of the Hazara Community. It is one of the four mountains that surround Quetta. It has tiny houses and narrow roads carved from the mountain and requires the soul of a trekker to go there. It lets you experience the best sunrise of your life! Mariabad is the eastern suburb of Quetta city with a population of five hundred thousand, making it one of the highest populated areas of Quetta. The mountain is fully occupied, footsteps to their peak. The houses are small. And roads are narrow more like staircases and it takes great physical strength to reach the peak. However, the kind locals are always happy to assist. Also, if one likes to take a personal concierge facility, young people are up to offer their services for a minimum amount. The ideal time to explore the area is early morning, right after the sunrise. It is no doubt a little challenging to get to the peak of the mountain, but when one does, the peak offers a scenic view of Quetta city, making one forget all the hiccups of the trek. The housing architecture of the Mariabad area is also quite attractive and highly practical. The houses are mainly made up of stones, while the recent ones have concrete structures. The classical stone houses are rock-solid, and it amazes one to estimate the hardship one would have endured to build structures on such elevations. The town management of Mariabad is also very elegant. The corridors are narrow but are present everywhere and despite harsh weather conditions and a huge population, the corridors and streets are never closed. Prominent spots inside Mariabad.

At the Aalmi Urdu Conference in Karachi, Mahira Khan shared personal anecdotes about her deep connection to the city during a session with Waseem Badami. Reflecting on her roots, she said, β€œI was born at the Lady Dufferin Hospital in 1984 in Karachi.” She fondly recalled her childhood home on Khalid Bin Waleed Road, sharing, β€œMy dada built our house when my grandparents migrated here from India.” Mahira reminisced about her visits to Zainab Market, enjoying street food like bun kebab, saying, β€œEven today when I have bun kebab, it is nostalgic.” She humorously revealed her failed attempts to visit bazaars incognito, admitting, β€œI’ll wear a burka and go. The problem is that as soon as I start speaking, people recognise me.” Mahira hailed Karachi as Pakistan’s most tolerant city, stating, β€œKarachi doesn’t judge you. This city doesn’t ask you where you’re from, it doesn’t ask who you are.” She credited the city’s diversity for shaping her worldview, adding, β€œGrowing up here, I made friends with Hindus, Christians, Bohris, and Agha Khanis. Any port city in the world functions like this.” While expressing her love for Karachi, she criticized its residents, saying, β€œThis city gives and gives, with its arms wide open, welcoming everyone. But we don’t take care of it the way we should.” During a rapid-fire round, Mahira described Karachi as β€œhome,” Lahore as β€œMaula Jatt,” Imran Khan as β€œbrave,” and Shah Rukh Khan as β€œchildhood love.” When asked about Khalilur Rehman Qamar, she said, β€œGood writer,” and about Firdous Jamal, she remarked, β€œI don’t know him but very experienced actor.”

Tesla’s highly anticipated robotaxi event, where it unveiled prototypes for the Cybercab and Robovan, left many investors and Wall Street analysts unimpressed, leading to a sharp drop in the company’s stock and CEO Elon Musk's net worth.

Tesla shares fell over 9% on Friday, from $238.77 to $217.80, causing Musk’s net worth to drop by $15 billion, though he still holds the title of the world’s richest person with $240 billion.

Analysts were disappointed by the lack of detail on Tesla’s self-driving vehicle plans and the absence of a promised lower-cost model, which may have contributed to the stock decline.

Musk announced that the Cybercab will launch before 2027 but gave no timeline for the 20-seater Robovan. Despite mixed reactions, some investors remain excited about Tesla’s vision for autonomous vehicles.
